A Children's Guide to Friendship

Bob was making a lego tower. A sudden strong wind dismantled what he had made. Bill was around and he felt bad for Bob. He came and saw that Bob was crying. He sat near Bob and told him,"don't cry, we can put that back together!" This made Bob stop crying. This virtue is called comforting someone.
Now, Bill could see that Bob was still too sad to get the legos back together. So, he collected all the pieces and started arranging them again. He told Bob," see! this is how we can get them back together!" Bob was feeling a bit more hopeful by now, so he started putting on some blocks too. This virtue is called caring.
Bill stayed there, putting a block or two now and then, to help Bob keep going. And together, they built the most beautiful lego castle ever! The last virtue is called 'being there'.

You shouldn't miss the fact that, when alone, Bob could only think of building a tower and Bill had no legos of his own. But, together, they made a castle for both of them.

Friendship is building castles together.
